2026 Auction Eligibility Requirements - All youth wishing to sell any item through an auction at the Meade County Fair in 2026 will need to complete the Auction Eligibility Form and turn it into the office no later than July 15th. You may download the Form by clicking on the link below.

Livestock Stall Reservation/Insurance - Stall Reservations are due by July 15th at 5:00 pm in the Extension Office. This form also allows you to choose insurance. Insurance payments are due to the Extension Office by the deadline. Forms can also be emailed to lesliedenise@ksu.edu once completed.

Livestock Insurance covers your trip to the fair, as well as the time that the animals are at the fairgrounds. Both of the policies below are included when you sign up for livestock insurance.

PROJECT INFORMATION

Bucket Calf - Exhibitors competing in the Bucket Calf Division will be judged on the following areas. Conference Judging will take place prior to the start of the beef show. Exhibitors will be told at the fair of their interview time (not before 5 PM).

  • 25% General Appearance: health, cleanliness, grooming
  • 25% Halter broke and ease at which the youth can lead, control, and set up the calf
  • 50% Conference Judging & Completion of Record Sheet: What has been learned about caring for and raising the calf? Record Sheets can be picked up at the Extension office or downloaded from the internet by clicking on the following link.

Dairy - 4-Hers exhibiting any dairy project will need to turn in a Dairy ID Sheet for each animal to the Extension Office, no later than June 15th. Dairy projects are not required to be at any weigh-in.

Style Revue - For each outfit entered in the Style Revue, a 4-H Member must turn in the following form to the Extension Office or in Fair Entry no later than July 10th by 5:00 PM.

Photography - Photos need to be mounted on boards and exhibited in a plastic sleeve. Boards are for sale at the office for $1.50 each. Sleeves are $0.50. Exhibitors are welcome to use other boards and sleeves, as long as they match the requirements of mounting instructions (below).

Horse - Horse Identification Certificates must be submitted to the county or district agent by June 1 of the current year to qualify an animal for 4-H horse shows, including the state show. The original ID form with pictures must be kept by the 4-Her(s) and presented at Fair or State Fair check-in. A copy can be kept in the county office. No forms will be sent to the State 4-H Office. Horses identified after June 1 or horses that have not been properly identified cannot show. You can also pick up a form from our office.
